blogdown
Katie Scranton (@DrScranto; 15/3): I finally made my website with blogdown 📦 #rstats and BONUS I wrote a blog post about it! Come for the Lena Smith jokes, stay for the Alvin and the Chipmunks references. https://t.co/lv6oRQcJLH ↪
W. Kyle Hamilton (@kylehamilton; 12/0): Finally got around to updating my website to run off blogdown. Still need to work out a few things but so far things are looking pretty good! https://t.co/Jluo69GXo8 ↪
Mara Averick (@dataandme; 8/0): @xieyihui @ma_salmon @grrrck The blogdown book covers a mind-blowing amount of awesome material! It is perpetually open in a tab whenever I’m doing anything with blogdown or hugo. 💖 ↪
Yihui Xie (@xieyihui; 5/0): @ma_salmon @grrrck @dataandme Yes, use the undocumented blogdown:::modify_yaml(). Will you be surprised that there is actually an example in the blogdown book? :) https://t.co/iPdmH01vib ↪
L. Collado-Torres (@fellgernon; 2/0): @kylehamilton One more for your #blogdown list @apreshill ^^ ↪
Aleix Valls (@valls_aleix; 2/0): Messing around with the blogdown pkg and seems pretty cool! nice work from @xieyihui et al! ↪
Mark Sellors (@sellorm; 1/1): Changed the way https://t.co/WTR0tpxEHM handles the json site descriptions in the GH repo. if anyone runs into any issues, let me know! #blogdown #rstats ↪
Colin J. Carlson, chaos theorist (@ColinJCarlson; 1/0): @DrScranto holy shit hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont know a dang thing about blogdown and im mighty jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!! extremely online hell yeah ↪
Charles T. Gray (@cantabile; 1/0): Me, too! blogdown hoedown! https://t.co/fnCHs1Lmxl ↪
Yihui Xie (@xieyihui; 1/0): @ma_salmon @grrrck @dataandme Do you plan to release your package to CRAN? If not, I’m a little too lazy to export it, because I’m not sure whether it really belongs to the blogdown package (it could be generally useful – not limited to edit blog posts but any Rmd files in batch). ↪
Katie Scranton (@DrScranto; 0/0): @ColinJCarlson Finally learned blogdown after procrastinating because of all of my anxiety!! https://t.co/lv6oRQcJLH ↪
PossibilityUnlimited (@Earriffic; 0/0): Moving to blogdown - #PrescientInfo https://t.co/8xOFWK7PYs ↪
Robert Sills (@robertnsills; 0/0): Moving to blogdown - #PrescientInfo https://t.co/RVubVPzl1Y ↪
Maëlle Salmon 🐟 (@ma_salmon; 0/0): @xieyihui @grrrck @dataandme Will you export this very useful function? ☺
My WIP app uses it https://t.co/1yixlVTIIZ (btw happy to contribute it to blogdown itself if there is interest) ↪
Laura Graham (@LauraJaneGraham; 0/0): @SwindleApe Yup, the blogdown R package allows you to write content using markdown. R does a lot, but it does not yet make me a cup of tea. ↪

Alberto Glez. Yanes (@algoya_dat; 1/1): Muy buena pinta “Geocomputation with #R” https://t.co/oMEI3pf5Kj vía @salomeheg ↪
Charlie Cullus (@CharlieCullus; 1/0): @Hilary_Barth To learn R :
Swirl,
YaRrr The pirate’s guide to R (Nathaniel D. Phillips) https://t.co/zizj2QaB8n ,
adventr packages (Andy Field) https://t.co/xoMTvrpef5 ,
cheatsheets RStudio (https://t.co/WtRvL1F2CC)
… ↪
Kamarul Imran (kim) (@kamarul_imran; 0/0): @azaleakamellia Hmm why don’t you try excellent R books by many R sifus at https://t.co/v67vUmQNFL ↪
knitr
Eamon Caddigan (@EamonCaddigan; 1/0): I just used RStudio + knitr to make a report with no code, because I wanted to use LaTeX to typeset equations in a Word doc. ↪
Steven V. Miller (@stevenvmiller; 0/0): Also, I morphed into a workflow/reproducibility fetishist as I got older. You can do that in Stata but R seemed more intuitive and more flexible.
Plus: tidyverse and knitr, man. ✊ ↪
Egor Ananyev (@EgorAnanyev; 0/0): @tsawallis Same here, except my foray into Python stats was ~year. (1) #rstats still more powerful, with more methods available faster in #R. (2) #RStudio cross-platform, trivial to install, #knitr & #vim mode out of the box, no messy environment setup. (3) #ggplot2 unbeatable. ↪
xaringan
Alison Hill (@apreshill; 0/0): @zaid_ha @nazliozum Hadn’t heard of that package! Looks interesting, although there is a notice on the site that the package is inactive and to use officer instead: https://t.co/ZueOZnahU9 xaringan is for making HTML5 slides from R Markdown 😍 ↪
